Let It Snow!

Hank LOVES the snow!

Just in time to feed the Christmas spirit: 6 inches of snow fell on Boise this past weekend. It was beautiful. We are expecting more snow this week, and it should all stick around for a while...high temperatures over the weekend are not forecasted to get above 12 degrees. Brrr!

Kristin and Rob, and Jenifer and Mike.
Mike and Mike share the front seat of the minivan cab.
(Sure, the Basque Center is only 4 blocks away from where we had dinner...with the snow on the ground, we took a cab across town.)

The annual Cosmo Christmas party was held on Saturday night at the Basque Center. Cosmos and champagne flowing freely, smoking jackets galore, and live music by Smooth Old Fashion High...a great time was had by all revelers again this year!

Wines and Cheeses Around the World

Joel, Teresa, Laurie and Mike.

Australia and Spain

On Thursday night, we hosted a wine and food fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters with Joel and Teresa Poppen at their home. The fundraiser was a huge success and a lot of fun! We had wines and food from Italy, Spain, Australia, Argentina and the United States. There were 2 or 3 wines per country, along with some cheese to complement each varietal. Then, the buffet table was set with empanadas, antipasti, paella, shrimp grilled on the barbi, and all sorts of other wonderful vittles from around the world. It was a great night, and we raised some good money to support BBBS, a very worthwhile cause.

The Nativity scene

I'll snap some photos of the outdoor lights once it gets dark. Merry Christmas!
