Merry Christmas 2007!

On Christmas morning, we enjoyed some of Virginia's cinnamon rolls, and then headed to the hills for some snow shoeing...tons of snow, crystal blue skies, and 14 degrees. Luckily, you warm up very quickly when you're hiking up the side of a mountain.

Feliz Navidad!

What says "Merry Christmas" better than margaritas and Mexican food? It was Feliz Navidad at the Reynoldson house on Christmas Eve.

Cosmo Christmas Party

Cosmopolitans, free-flowing champagne, Frank Sinatra singing the classics, appearances by Elvis and Santa, and hundreds of our closest friends...the inaugural Cosmo Christmas Party, Boise's largest Christmas bash.

Hank -- the Runner

These are two of my favorite photos of Hank, taken on a Saturday afternoon after we went for a long run. Hank is becoming a great distance runner...and he loves it! We love it because it tires him out for the rest of the day.

My most recent favorite Hank story: after running 11 miles last weekend, Hank ate a snack and immediately threw up his food. We ran some errands and he ran immediately to his food bowl when we got home, so I decided to feed him again. Again, he threw up. 20 minutes later, we let him out and threw up 2 tube socks and 3 pairs of panties, which he must have eaten the night before. Can you believe that he ran 11 miles with his breakfast and 5 articles of clothing in his tummy?! Stay tuned for the "Hank, the Iron Belly Dog" children's picture book...

Aunt Dottie, Virginia's identical twin sister, joined us for brunch during her annual September visit to the Treasure Valley. No, Virginia and Dottie are not trying out for a DoubleMint commercial...they had just completed the Women's Fitness Celebration 5K walk...hence, the matching t-shirts and jeans.

Bow Down to Washington

OK, so it was only 1 football game. And it's been nearly 7 years since the Huskies started their season 2-0. And U-Dub's final 3 games in September are against Ohio State, UCLA and USC -- ouch! But, Washington beat the BSU Broncos...the Fiesta Bowl champions, the darlings of the BCS, the mid-major school loved by all of America. Here's a snapshot before the game. Mike wasn't smiling near as wide after the final whistle blew.

The McCall Baby Shower

Our friends, Samia and James, are expecting their first child in September...so we helped throw them a baby shower. Many thanks to Sara and Rich for all of their help in pulling off the shower.

Kelly and Steve flew to Boise for a quick weekend trip. Always good to see them!

And the Remodel Continues...

Phase 1 is nearly complete. Too bad we blew through the budget for Phases 2 and 3 to complete Phase 1...looks like we'll need to wait on the bathrooms for now.

Hank's Birthday

Hank turned 1 on June 13th, so we celebrated with 17 of his puppy pals (including 3 littermates and his mom), as well as 23 humans. What better way to spend your first birthday?

New Deck!

Memorial Day weekend was spent building a deck. It's a structural masterpiece...over 400 square feet, 2 levels (if you count the step-down to the hot tub), and stairs on 2 sides. Thanks to my Dad for helping stage the construction, and thanks to Dad, Heidi and Barbara for the extra hands needed to complete the construction in 1 weekend.
