Happy Birthday Mike!

For Mike's 39th birthday, I surprised him with a trip to Napa with our friends Sue and Knox. Lots of good wine, good food and conversation. A portion of the freeway collapsed in Oakland while we were there, so we settled into our hotel room for pizza before flying home early on April 30th. Apparently, in Oakland, "La Quinta" means go to your room and lock your doors.

More remodel photos. Don't let the lights and wiring in the walls fool you...we were without electricity and heat in the kitchen, dining room and living room for weeks and weeks. I guess that's another good point...we were even without a kitchen, dining room and living room for weeks and weeks. For several weeks, you could even see through the "floor" to the basement. Aaah, the joys of remodeling!
