New Deck!

Memorial Day weekend was spent building a deck. It's a structural masterpiece...over 400 square feet, 2 levels (if you count the step-down to the hot tub), and stairs on 2 sides. Thanks to my Dad for helping stage the construction, and thanks to Dad, Heidi and Barbara for the extra hands needed to complete the construction in 1 weekend.

Spring Unveiling

One thing we didn't add to the remodel budget: the cost of flying somewhere to get away from the dust and construction. After 13 weeks of no electricity, no heat and no kitchen, we decided to go to Cannon Beach for the annual Spring Unveiling art show. I think we both hoped some elves would finish the remodel while we were gone. Unfortunately, we returned to no electricity, no heat and no kitchen.
